How often do you wonder "I wish this situation or person was different..." or ask yourself "Is it possible to change someone else's behavior?"
Whenever we feel that way, it shows that we're not happy.
Most of the time, we are so busy in our lives and occupied with constantly doing things, achieving, or finding love - that we often forget to take a moment to look deeply within ourselves and listen to how we really feel and what we really want.
How many times have you felt wrong about something, but still went ahead with it? How many times have you done something just to please someone else? How many times have you wanted to say "No" or "YES", but couldn't? How many times have you felt the need to stay in control?
It all comes back to one word - YOU.
Happiness is a decision and choice - and it start with you, not outside of you. When we take responsibility for ourselves, we start our intended path and open up opportunities to talk to our heart, mind, emotions and body.
Sometimes it might not be an easy road, but when YOU decide to make changes, you will soon start to realise that sometimes the journey has to be travelled alone in order to appreciate the strengths that lie deep within you.
Why not love and nourish that beautiful you? It can start by simply taking a couple minutes each day to listening to your heart and intuition, walking around your block or through the closest park by yourself, and trying to focus entirely on your breath and think about your breathing - nothing else.
Or you may wish to sit in your favourite room or backyard at home and sip a hot cup of tea, while recalling one positive feeling. Perhaps you'll think about a time when you felt good inside, or it could be feeling appreciation for the good things in your life, or the love in your world.
Find your stillness and focus on your breathing.
